How To Hire A Copywriter From The Web
by Marsha Maung

I’m living in a very competitive world right now and working in a strenuously bloodthirsty industry too – everywhere copywriter web service providers are popping up like pimples on a teenager’s face! They erupt claiming low prices and quality articles. What’s an experienced and professional copywriter who writes web content like me to do? Stoop? Beg? No…..none of all that.
I plan to educate people about how to hire the copywriter from the web.
Hiring a copywriter on web can be tricky
The tricky thing about hiring a copywriter from the internet and from what you can see from the website is tricky….you don’t know if this guy (or gal) is actually a serial murderer or a child molester. You don’t know if this copywriter’s web is for real or is he/she a moonlighter who is going to take your ‘deposit’ and run off into the sunset, never look back while smiling cheekily at your innocence (read: stupidity).
Right. You don’t know all of that…even I, as a copywriter web worker can’t tell very much from looking at a person’s website but what I could focus on, what I am actually looking for in a copywriter web service provider is integrity in one’s work and original articles. Of course, none of which can easily be determined by looking at a web page.
Communicate well with the copywriter web site owner before employing him or her
Since we’re playing the cat and mouse game on the Internet, the only way we can determine as much as we can is to communicate with the writer. Chances are, if the copywriter web worker responds quickly or efficiently within an acceptable period of time, then it’s probably quite OK. They’ve passed the ‘I am human’ test and also the ‘I am more serious about being a copywriter web service provider than you think’ test.
Taking a look at the portfolio of the copywriter web provider
I make it a point to publish some past work from time to time to assure my potential clients that I am a credible copywriter web service provider, some don’t. But it is in my personal opinion that showing samples and portfolio to a potential client is an integral part of ‘sealing the deal’.
The more experienced the copywriter web writer is, the more he/she knows about what and how to show you what you need to see.
Listening to your gut feeling
Women aren’t the only ones God gave instincts to – men have gut feelings too and they don’t always relate to football and baseball results. Listen to them when they’re trying to tell you something about the copywriter web service provider.
Most of the time, the gut feeling is based on the communication that went on between the both of you and also the content that the copywriter have placed in his or her website. When you ask for something, does the copywriter web service provider respond adequately and provide you with what you’re asking for or is he/she simply giving you the ‘I understand what you’re saying, so please pay up the deposit’ attitude?
This contributes towards your gut feelings and determines how comfortable you are communicating and working with this person. Listen to it.
How much is the copywriter web service provider charging you
On the internet, the really good ones don’t charge you $3 per article. Nor do they charge you $120 for 20 articles. I shouldn’t stereotype but I can’t help it because from experience, I can tell you that if it’s dirt cheap, you should expect nothing more than ‘monkeys for your money’. Paying peanuts does that to you.
I’ve used these services myself for times when I was up to my nose with work and was trying to cut cost. I hired some of these copywriter web providers who charged me so little I was laughing with glee until I checked the work. I cringed and cried buckets after that!
Let’s just say…it would have been less painful trying to take apart my own television set and put it back together again (I am as technical and electrical as a bottle of aromatherapy oil)
Mass copywriter website content provider focus on volume
For me, it’s easy to spot these volume writers….I know the kind of website copy they’re capable of coming up with just from looking at a couple of sentences from their home page or about us page.
If you’re hiring these copywriter web content providers, just be prepared to edit the stuff delivered and put some personality into it. These mass writers focus on churning out word after word after word….not on the quality of the content that they’re writing. As long as you’re clear on that…well, everything’s fine then.
Before I end this article, I would just like to say that, YES, there are a few good mass copywriter web services on the internet, if you’re lucky (like me) you SHOULD be able to find one or two of them to back you up with good copywriter web work for a long time to come.
