Creating Landing Pages – Keyword Specific Pages Created for SEO marketing purposes

Yes, when we talk about SEO marketing, the core of what we usually talk about is keyword marketing. Which means that we want to know the keywords that our potential clients or customers are looking for. How are they finding our websites...or why aren't they finding us? Are we using the wrong SEO technique? Are you targeting the wrong keyword(s)? Does all of that junk up there make sense at all? Ok, you WERE reading it. Great.

Anyway, let's just focus on one point now and the point is this – there are many different keywords that you can use in your SEO marketing plan to bring your customers in to you. For example, if you sell a clothing line, your keywords would probably be ‘apparel', ‘women's clothing', ‘kids casual clothing, ‘cool apparel', ‘unique clothing gifts'…..etc. The list is endless! I can go on and on and on but the right SEO marketing technique to use when you want to use keyword SEO to bring in the potential customers is to NOT USE ALL OF THE KEYWORDS you want inside one single page . Usually, I see a lot of people stuffing up their home pages with all or half the list of keywords that they want into the index page.

When this SEO keyword marketing strategy is used, you're diluting the keyword density. Watering it down and the search engines won't find a strong keyword in the whole page because there's just too much in it!

So, the right SEO technique to use when you're marketing yourself via keyword for search engines is to focus on certain keywords. One page for ‘clothing' and ‘kids clothes, another for ‘women clothing' and ‘unique handbags'…etc. I don't know about others but I usually tie two or three related keywords and focus on these keywords and points when I work SEO articles. They've been doing really well and I suppose you can do the same thing as well.

A word of warning – don't get over-excited by fluffing up the page too much with the keywords. The search engines don't like people who spam their pages and if you're reported or the spiders hate you, the search engines won't hesitate in punishing these SEO offenders! And to get back into their listing involves a lot of hard work, explaining and begging! For those of us in the SEO keyword marketing industry, we try to keep the keyword density in a single page down to about 5% and try not to exceed the 7% mark (even then, we're sweating and praying). How to calculate? Just match up the keywords against the total number of words in the website and multiply 100.

When you're done, create another page for other keywords of your choice. These pages are called landing pages. In SEO keyword marketing, creating these landing pages is the core of SEO marketing. Good luck and remember to drink lots of water since you'll be sweating it out waiting for the spiders to come to your web pages. Ha ha…not funny, I know.
