Outsourcing Your Articles For Your Small Business

No man is an island - I've said this a lot of times and I would like to say it again....just for good measure. Take it from me, if you're a small business owner and looking for a way to market yourself via article marketing or trying to gain some exposure for your small business, there's no better way than to write some articles and post them into your website and other websites like article directories. But what happens when you feel as if you've stretched yourself too thin? What happens when you feel all choked up with other responsibilities like marketing and managing the accounts to concentrate on writing articles for your website? With limited resources and financial backing, it can be hard for a small business, I know, especially on the Internet where competition is rife.
Hiring a reliable freelance writer to help with your small business
This is an ideal solution to your problems. But hang on a minute there....it's not all a bed of roses. Having been in the writing business for so long, I can tell you that it's hard to find a freelance writer who can consistently churn out interesting articles related to your small business or industry on a daily basis. Many are talented, this, you can be sure of but not many are experienced, committed or responsible. Whilst I have nothing against using a fresh-out-of-school freelance writer who can help with basic blog content, for your small business, spend some time trying out different freelance writers in the beginning. This way, you can slowly get the feel of the writer and decide which one to use later on.
Creative and unique articles for your small business website
Let me remind you that quantity is not the right focus....quality is. When you find the right person to do the job for you and to help your business grow, make sure the writer is a creative one. Nothing is more annoying for your website visitors than to go through a whole bunch of nothing-ness that was obviously written in less than 5 minutes! They want information, useful tips, insightful advice, etc. Give them that and they take the bait....if not today, tomorrow, if not tomorrow, some time next month when they come back for more information.
Communication is very important - be in contact with your freelance writer as much as you can
This is particularly true if you have a writer who is based in another country or another state. It's happened to me more times than I dare try to recall! They were there one day and then suddenly, they fall off the face of the earth! I email them over and over again, call them....nothing. They up and went off without, at least, letting me know that they would be off. It was frustrating for me as I was still a small business owner with tons of things to do and kids to run around with, therefore, right from the start, I would insist that they be in constant communication with me. If I cannot get to them for more than 3 days in a row without proper explanation, I had the right to take the project from them and give it to someone else who was willing to commit to my small business.
For a business owner with a small budget and tight schedule, I strongly urge you to find a freelance writer who can help you develop high quality content for your website and post them in article directories. It's a proven fact - words will get your places.
