If you’ve got yourself a website or a blog, congratulations, you’ve just bought yourself a gun! This gun helps you hit people you want to hit and when I say hit, what I mean is ‘sale’…the dollar sign, not merely website traffic.
Keep the ultimate goal in mind with your internet marketing strategy
People get too easily excited about ‘traffic’ and ‘how many hits are you getting per month?’ these days. It’s almost as if they wake up every morning at five and the first thought that infiltrates their mind is ‘how many hits did I get myself last night while I was sleeping’. Frankly speaking, as an internet marketer, I don’t linger too long issues like that. Ultimately, when you have a website or blog, you have an objective and for netpreneurs, the final flagdown should be when you get the number of dollars that you want to get. If you have a website that is aimed at distributing information, then you’d want to know how many people have benefited from the information that you’re trying to spread.
Hence, even as we work around our well-designed internet marketing strategy, there’s a need to consistent remind website or blog owners about the main focus.
The large companies are joining us in our game of tic-tac-toe
The competition is too rife right now because many businesses, especially the medium and large enterprise, are turning to the internet as an alternative. Rewind a couple of years back, these large corporations thought that they could live without internet marketing while small business owners had the internet all for themselves. Large corporations had the dollars to play around with back then, obviously, hence, regarded internet marketing with squinty eyes.
NOW, it’s a completely different ball game because more people have started to realize the power of internet marketing and social media. With the current state of economy, business owners and investors have started to sit back, reevaluate their plans in an effort to tighten their belts. Right now, small business owners face not only a dull economy but more cramped quarters on cyberspace.
Instead of having the internet to ourselves, the large giants are joining us in our game. But small business owners have an advantage. While the large corporations have the advantage of money, we have the advantage of experience; and we’re probably a couple of steps ahead of them. Therefore, it’s crucial for us, small business owners, to focus on a workable internet marketing plan that can help us achieve our ultimate goal in the shortest period of time and then from then on, we have to work on keeping our position against the impending approach of the giants.
Hit right so that we keep the momentum and continue to hit the right people
And the only way to work ourselves into the position that we want and KEEP IT is to ensure that we minimize the number of bullets used and instead hire a sniper. Someone who can hit the right target with each bullet used. This way, by the time the giants come on to us, we’ve already hit as many direct hits as we can and would have earned us a stable footing in the industry.
